NEWCASTLE Thunder have confirmed the signing of York City Knights centre Tyler Craig.

As previously revealed by The Press, the 23-year-old former Heworth ARLC junior is following Jack Aldous and Brett Waller in moving up the A1 for 2017.

Craig has scored 17 tries and 18 goals in 40 appearances for his hometown club since making his first-team debut in 2012.

He told ThunderRugby.com: “I’m looking forward to joining Thunder. Every time I’ve played up there it’s been a really good atmosphere with a good crowd and the facilities are also very good.

“The club has signed well for next year and it really looks to be going places. It has a lot of ambition to move forward and it’s an exciting time to be joining.

“Hopefully I can make a positive impact and can contribute to realise some of that and help at least get us into the play-offs.”
