WHATEVER your perception of rugby league training sessions at semi-pro level, it's worth checking out these videos of York City Knights players in action in pre-season.
These clips have been authorised by head coach James Ford, and not only show the levels of professionalism involved in both the gym and on the field but also give an insight into what goes on during behind-closed-doors training sessions.
Said Ford: "It's a useful tool that demonstrates in some small part the preparation that goes on at this level of rugby league and what professional players do to make sure they're ready to play such a fast, skilful and physical sport.
"It's good for young players and coaches to see what takes place and also hear the 'small talk' that goes during sessions which is conducive to improving standards."
He added: "These boys train at an outstanding level at good facilities and I feel videos like this show the players and club in a positive light."
