YORK City Knights' friendly at Featherstone Rovers tomorrow night has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
James Ford's men were set to go to Post Office Road for a 7.30pm kick off but the game was cancelled late this afternoon.
A statement on the Featherstone website said: "Following a pitch inspection by an RFL match official this afternoon (Wednesday) at 4pm, our pre-season friendly against York City Knights which was due to take place on Thursday evening has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch."
It is the second such blow to the Knights' pre-season preparations ahead of their League One campaign after their previous friendly, against Hull FC at Bootham Crescent, also fell foul of the weather.
