YORK City Knights' home match against promotion rivals Swinton Lions on Sunday will be played at Heworth ARLC's Elmpark Way ground.

The Lions revealed the news on their official website, with the Knights later confirming it on Twitter.

It will be the second time the homeless Knights have played at Heworth, following on from their victory over London Skolars there ten days ago.

The club remain in talks with City of York Council with a view to getting back into the community stadium project but negotiations are increasingly protracted, with little information being made public by either party. The Rugby Football League are involved.

The Swinton statement said: "Our away fixture versus York on Sunday 28 June 2015, kick off 3pm, will take place at the home of Heworth ARLFC.

"We apologise for the late notification of venue, but this was beyond our control."

The Knights then tweeted: "CONFIRMED. Sunday's match against Swinton Lions will be held at @HeworthRugby's Elmpark Way ground."

Kick off is at 3pm with gates opening at 1pm.
