YORK CITY KNIGHTS’ players will face off against each other next week as they try to nail down a spot in head coach James Ford’s starting line-up.
The club are staging a probables versus possibles clash at Clifton Park on Friday night as part of an open forum evening at York RUFC’s Clifton Park.
The squad will be split into two teams by Ford and assistant coach Mark Applegarth with the players aiming to show the watching coaches and supporters why they deserve to earn a place ahead of the start of the season next month.
With kick-off at 7pm and admission £2 (under 16s free), there will be an on-the-night vote for fans as to who they think should line up for the trip to London Skolars in the League Cup on March 1.
Players, coaches and club officials will also be answering fans’ questions after the game. A full range of Knights merchandise will be on sale.
