YORK City Knights have unveiled their new home and away shirts for the 2015 season.

The Kingstone Press League One outfit have been supported by Clifton Moor-based motor dealer Cooper BMW York as their main shirt sponsor in a two-year deal.

The home kit, with various shades of blue and white, and the yellow and black away kit - the colours of the former York Wasps - are available to buy at the club's launch evening at the Quaker Wood pub, in Acomb, tonight.

The shirts cost £45 for adults, £35 for juniors. The launch evening starts at 4pm until late. Players and coaching staff will be present from 6.30pm.

Jack Stearman, the Knights' community sponsorship manager, said: "BMW Cooper are a fantastic business with which to be working so closely.

"The deal shows the strides the club are making. This will be one of the strongest brands of sponsorship within the whole of rugby league.

"It is a privilege to have them on our shirts and, hopefully, get people enthusiastic about the Knights."

The shirts will also be on sale at the York City Knights Christmas Fair at Barclays Bank's city centre branch in Parliament Street on Saturday.

A prize draw raffle will take place at 3.30pm and top prizes include an Electra Ladies' Townie bike, donated by York Cycleworks, the use of a BMW X5 for a weekend, and a Christmas hamper.

Raffle tickets are available on the day or from the club office in Roland Court, Huntington Road.

All money raised at the Christmas Fair will be matched by Barclays to go to the Knights Foundation.
