WHAT joy to read that Enfield Council intends to gather fallen leaves and compost them.
Not a minute too soon. It is a suggestion that has been made many times.
After six months of no grass cutting at these flats can we therefore, with crossed fingers and hope in our hearts, expect that the grass with its 87 different kinds of weeds, will be taken away and utilised rather than being left to rot and multiply as at the present time, where it resembles a feeding paddock for animals?
