FORMER Blue Peter presenter Diane Louise Jordan gave a helping hand to launch the Haringey Young Carers Project last week.
The unique project aims to provide support to children and young people under 18 who have caring responsibilities for family members who live in Haringey.
NCH Action For Children believe that young carers are a 'hidden' group of children who take care of a person suffering from a long term illness or disability.
There project aims to identify the young carers in the borough through an initial survey and then provide them with a support service.
Diane Louise Jordan attended the opening ceremony last Thursday at Red Gables family Centre, Crouch Hill.
