YORK-BASED non-league webmaster Tony Kempster will watch today’s FA Trophy final from the royal box after an all-expenses paid trip to Wembley.
Blue Square have teamed up with the FA to drive Tony, who is currently in ill health, to and from his home and provide him with full hospitality at the York City v Stevenage clash.
Tony’s acclaimed football website www.tonykempster.co.uk has won the annual Services to Supporters award from the Football Supporters’ Federation.
About the gesture, BBC Non-League show spokeswoman Caroline Barker said: “Tony isn’t in the best of health at the moment and his long term outlook does not look good. His wife was in tears at how happy this trip has made him.
“Tony’s site is a mine of information for non-league lovers and he deserves his big day for all he has done for fans across the country.”
