YORK City are expecting to take 15,000 fans to Saturday’s FA Trophy final at Wembley, writes Dave Flett.

Ticket sales from KitKat Crescent ended yesterday at noon and City officials have made their estimate based on those figures and potential sales on the day of the match. A total of 21 coaches will journey south from York.

Stevenage had also sold 14,000 tickets yesterday and all unsold tickets will now be available at Wembley from 10am to 2pm on Saturday.

The club shop, meanwhile, will extend its opening hours over the next two days for fans hoping to still buy Wembley merchandise.

It will close today at 8pm and will be open tomorrow from 9am to 6pm.

• YORK Minstermen will hold their monthly quiz night at KitKat Crescent Social Club tonight.

Doors will open at 7pm with the quiz due to start at 8.45pm.

Entry costs £1 per person and teams should have no more than four members. The spring raffle will be drawn before the quiz.
