YORK City’s FA Trophy final opponents Stevenage are unlikely to rest key players for Saturday’s Wembley showdown according to manager Martin Foyle.

The Hertfordshire club are targeting a bigger prize as they take a 3-1 advantage into this lunchtime’s Blue Square Premier play-off semi-final clash at Cambridge United.

Victory, a draw or defeat by less than a one-goal margin today would mean Stevenage facing either Histon or Torquay at Wembley on May 16 with a place in the Football League at stake.

Despite that potential distraction, however, Foyle believes Stevenage boss Graham Westley will field a full strength side against City this weekend.

The City chief said: “I can’t see why they would leave anybody out.

“Those players have been in the team all season and I’m sure they will all want to play at Wembley twice in eight days.”

Having watched ten-man Stevenage beat Cambridge 3-1 in Thursday’s first leg, Foyle is also under no illusion about the task his side face if their opponents are at full strength.

The City boss earmarked 30-goal striker Steve Morison as the main threat.

He said: “They are a solid, big side and Morison is obviously the icing on the cake.

“The first leg was a very close game but Cambridge went with a game plan and came unstuck.

“They started well but found that it’s not always an advantage to play against ten men.

“We will certainly need to stop Morison.

“He scored a fantastic header, even though their ’keeper got caught out a bit, and his other goal was a good finish.”
