STRESSED parents and terrible tots will find plenty of fun and even some peace at a new pre-school project. Lewisham Pre-School Learning Alliance opened the new facilities in Downham Way on May 6 with the help of Lewisham MP Bridget Prentice and Postman Pat.

The project in St Barnabas Church Hall will run five mornings a week and consists of a parent and toddler group and a toy library. All the staff working in the project are residents who have been employed through the Downham Pride regeneration scheme, which also funded the pre-school.
