YORK City revealed another brace of home friendlies to boost a pre-season programme headed by visits of Middlesbrough and Leeds United.
FA Cup semi-finalists Barnsley and Coca-Cola One side Hartlepool are the other two Football League names who will play at KitKat Crescent.
Barnsley, one of the former clubs of City boss Colin Walker, will visit the Minstermen on Tuesday, July 22, with Pools making the trip from the North-East on Wednesday, July 30. Both games are scheduled to kick off at 7.30pm.
City have already confirmed they will host Leeds United on Friday, July 11, with Middlesbrough coming to KitKat Crescent a week later on Friday, July 18.
LAST YEAR it was a shark off the Cornwall coast that saw The Sun through the silly season; this year it’s little green men in flying saucers over Shropshire. Both stories, of course, are utter tosh.
