11:12am Saturday 12th May 2012 in News
DAN Parslow is in line to finish the season with back-to-back The Press Player of the Month awards.
The former Wales under-21 international, who took the honours for April, is now four points clear in this month’s standings.
Parslow was our third-highest rated player in Monday’s decisive 1-0 play-off semi-final second leg win at Mansfield to pick up one point towards the contest.
He also received the two bonus points on offer to the player who received the most man-of-the-match votes from visitors to our website.
The other Press points at Field Mill were awarded to our man-of-the-match James Meredith (three) and second-highest rated player Chris Smith (two).
Only Smith now has a chance to overhaul top two Jason Walker and Matty Blair in the race to be this season’s The Press Player of the Year.
