Jason Walker primed for York City comeback

YORK City top scorer Jason Walker should move a step closer to his first-team return tomorrow after missing the last eight matches with a groin injury.

Boss Gary Mills said: “Jason Walker will train today and will take part in a reserve game against Middlesbrough tomorrow. We’ve then got another game a week today against Newcastle and he’ll get a bit longer in that match so, hopefully, we can get him fit and raring to go.”

Is the Newcastle match at home or away next Monday?

Looking forward to that.

If we can get him back fully fit in the next couple of weeks and both Jason and the rest of the team playing like they did in the first three months of the season (other than Telford, Alfreton and Tamworth!), then we can definately keep our Top Five place and be strong contenders for promotion via the play-offs!!
