OXFORD United will welcome back League Two's leading marksman Danny Hylton for tomorrow's trip to York City.

Hylton, 25, missed last weekend's 3-1 FA Cup first round win at Grimsby having served a one-match suspension for reaching five yellow cards this season.

But he will be back in the fold at Bootham Crescent and looking to add to the 11 goals he has plundered since a summer switch from Rotherham.

Ex-Aldershot marksman Hylton, who also had spells on loan at Bury and AFC Wimbledon last season, has averaged exactly a goal a game during his last five outings and seven of his strikes have come away from Oxford's Kassam Stadium.

The return of Hylton does, however, leave U's boss Michael Appleton with a dilemma in terms of who to leave out of his starting XI after 18-year-old James Roberts bagged a brace on his debut at Blundell Park having signed a four-year contract 24 hours earlier.

Roberts, therefore, is expected to retain his place in the side with Hylton's recall likely to come at the expense of experienced former Barnsley and Reading frontman Brian Howard.

Ex-Rotherham and Watford marksman Will Hoskins, meanwhile, remains sidelined until January, having torn a tendon in his groin just two games into his Oxford career after leaving Championship club Brighton in the summer.

Oxford, just one point and one place above their 20th-placed hosts, will arrive in North Yorkshire with a sorry record of just two wins from their last 20 away matches in the league.

Appleton's men have only taken maximum points during a 3-1 win at Northampton this season and their only other league triumph on the road since mid-January was a 2-0 victory over Plymouth in April.

A haul of five points on their travels means only third-bottom Carlisle, with four, have a lower tally in this term's division.

In total, Oxford have mustered just 12 away points from a possible 60 and not kept a clean sheet in 14 fixtures on the road.

Oxford (probable): Clarke, Riley, Mullins, Wright, Holmes-Dennis, Potter, Whing, Rose, O'Dowda, Hylton, Roberts.
