YORK City and AFC Wimbledon will meet again in an FA Cup replay after today's first round tie ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Minstermen forged into an eighth minute lead through recalled striker Jake Hyde, who replaced loan ace Diego De Girolamo after his return to Sheffield United.
Andy Frampton levelled for the Bootham Crescent visitors in the 22nd minute before City lost John McCombe to injury, leading to Stephane Zubar's debut on loan from Bournemouth.
A second half injury to Scunthorpe loan striker Deon Burton led to the return from injury of Wes Fletcher, who was one of the City players denied by a superb triple save from James Shea in the 84th minute.
City will travel to Kingsmeadow, most likely on Tuesday, November 18, aiming to avoid a repeat of the FA Cup outcome two years ago when the sides drew 1-1 at Bootham Crescent only for the ten-man Minstermen to bow out 4-3 after extra time in the replay.
