YORK City have bagged a home draw in the first round of the FA Cup against League Two rivals AFC Wimbledon.

The tie, which is to be played on the weekend of November 7 to 10, satisfies the wish of every team that they pick out a home plum.

However, the Minstermen’s form so far this season at Bootham Crescent has been abysmal.

But if the City faithful are looking for good portents, the last time City played the Dons was in March when a 1-0 win clinched by a Michael Coulson strike at Kingsmeadow was a seventh successive triumph, a surge that took them into the play-offs.
