Ashely Chambers and loan signing Richard Cresswell got the goals as York City ended a 16-game winless run with a 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Bootham Crescent.
Chambers broke the deadlock in the 20th minute before, just before the half hour mark, Cresswell, returning to York for the first time in more than a decade on a short-term deal from the Blades, instinctively nodded home after Tom Platt's header was cleared off the line.
It was York's first win since New Year's Day.

With the threat of relegation still very real on the final day of the League Two season, Worthington's charges ensured survival with a 1-0 victory at Victoria Road.
It was skipper Chris Smith who got the vital goal in the 68th minute - heading home as he latched on to a long ball inside the box - to send the travelling York fans into ectascy.

Plymouth had defender Neal Trotman dismissed after just 11 minutes and, after Wes Fletcher netted the subsequent penalty, York ran riot against a ten-man outfit - John McCombe scoring twice and Josh Carson grabbing the fourth in the 90th minute.

York City extended their unbeaten run to 16 games and also booked their place in the League Two play-offs with a 1-0 victory over Newport.
Michael Coulson scored the spectacular winner 13 minutes from time when curling a free-kick from 25 yards into the corner of the net.

Trailing to former favourite Matty Blair's first leg goal, York tried everything in the second leg of the League Two play-off semi-final at Highbury but could not progress to Wembley.
Michael Coulson and Keith Lowe were denied as the Minstermen fought hard to try and get on terms but it was the Cod Army who were celebrating not only at the end of the game but at the home of English football just a few days later when beating Burton in the play-off final.

Leading 1-0 at half-time thanks to loan signing Diego De Girolamo's seventh minute effort, York's, and Worthington's, world fell apart when skipper Russell Penn was red carded a minute after the restart.
County swarmed forward and goals from Andrew Hughes, Chris Zebroski and Darren Jones condemed City to another loss.
It meant they had won only one of their last 17, going back to last season, and was the final straw for Worthington.
