TEENAGE Sheffield United striker Diego de Girolamo has signed for York City on a one-month loan deal.

De Girolamo turned 19 on Sunday and made his full first-team debut for the Blades on Tuesday night in their 2-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Hartlepool.

Chesterfield-born, he came through the ranks at Bramhall Lane before signing a professional contract. He has an Italian father and has represented Italy at under-18s level, scoring three times in six games, and he also netted in a 1-1 draw for Italy U19s against Germany U19s in March this year.
