As headline sponsors of the Asian Football Awards 2013 (AFA) Goals Soccer Centres are to host the inaugural ‘AFA Trophy’ Fives tournament.

The ‘AFA Trophy’ Fives is a tournament open to Asian players and teams and is designed to encourage, support and help develop talent at grassroots level within Asian communities throughout the UK.

Regional tournaments will take place across 22 Goals Soccer Centres throughout the UK in May and June, with a finals day taking place at Goals Gillette Corner in west London on Saturday 18th August. Scouts and coaches from across the professional game will be in attendance at both the regional heats and on finals day.

The winner of the tournament will be rewarded with a training day at the Chelsea FC Foundation at their training ground in Cobham and enjoy a table at the prestigious Asian Football Awards, where they will be presented with The AFA Trophy, on Tuesday 8 October at Wembley Stadium.

The AFA event will be attended by some of the biggest names in football, including Gary Lineker, and will be hosted by Sky Sports News Presenter, Dharmesh Sheth and BBC Asian Network host, Noreen Khan.
