My, my, how Argus bloggers have got it wrong. I was not asking for anything for myself (The Argus, April 10). I have my own business and have been able to return to this.
Other councillors are not so fortunate, they may have given up their own employment to become a councillor. I am not a greedy, selfish person. I have a consideration for other councillors’ welfare.
While on the council, I came in under budget each year and saved £10 million each year on wastage. That’s not bad for someone on £22,000 in allowances.
