JUST one point separates Jason Walker and Matty Blair at the top of The Press Player of the Year leaderboard ahead of Monday’s play-off, semi-final second leg against Mansfield.

Blair picked up his latest point as our third-highest rated player during Wednesday’s 1-1 home leg with the Stags, while Jon Challinor (three points) and Dan Parslow (two) were also recognised for their efforts as our man of the match and second-highest rated player respectively.

In Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Forest Green, meanwhile, the points were shared between man-of-the-match Chris Doig (three), Parslow (two) and Danny Pilkington (one).

Parslow topped our online man-of-the-match vote from both games, earning him four Player of the Month bonus points to ensure he was the clear winner of the April award to establish him as an early leader of the May contest.
