BLUE Square Premier clubs who fall into administration can only be demoted one division from next season for failing to pay their creditors by the second weekend in May.
Even then, clubs can still preserve their top-flight non-League status if they put in place a Compulsory Voluntary Agreement of 100p in the pound.
The amendment to the rule that means Salisbury City will kick off next season in the Southern League was passed at the Conference’s annual meeting. Meanwhile, released Luton Town striker Ryan Charles has joined last season’s fellow play-off semi-finalists Rushden.
Former AFC Wimbledon midfielder Glenn Poole has joined League Two outfit Barnet, who have also snapped up Glen Southam from Histon.
Salisbury left-back Luke Ruddick has signed for Bath City, while Kidderminster have snapped up Tom Shaw from Tamworth and Paul Terry, brother of England defender John, has snubbed a new deal at Rushden.
