YORK City chief executive Jackie McNamara and first-team manager Gary Mills will be among five club officials at an open forum evening on Thursday, November 9.

The pair will be joined by the City’s assistant-manager Darren Caskey, Foundation manager Paula Stainton and head of partnerships Nick Greatrex at the York Sports Club on Shipton Road.

Questions from the audience will be fielded on the night, as doors open for the free event at 7pm , with an approximate start time of 30 minutes later.

More than 250 people attended last year’s open forum, which will be hosted once again by BBC Look North presenter and City supporter Phil Bodmer., although club chairman Jason McGill will not be in attendance this time.

Elsewhere, Ryan Edmondson, Aaron Haswell, Zac Lawrence, Harry Thompson and Flynn McNaughton were on target as City’s under-18 side defeated Harrogate Town 5-0 at Bootham Crescent in the first qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup.

Edmondson opened the scoring from close range on 11 minutes when he met a cross from Haswell.

The latter doubled the lead just before the half-hour mark, breaking clear to net from eight yards.

Full-back Lawrence then curled in an unstoppable free kick to send the hosts into the interval 3-0 up.

Thompson made it 4-0 early in the second half, meeting Lawrence’s corner with a deflected low shot.

Substitute Town keeper Harry Stanley went on to gift City their fifth goal, racing out of his area, but taking his eye off the ball to give sub McNaughton an empty net to find.
