YORK City reserves will kick off their Central League campaign with a home match against Mansfield on Tuesday, October 3.

All games are scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoons with 13 confirmed for the campaign, as the club plays fixtures in both the Central League North Groups A and B, as part of the reforms to the structure of the English Football League’s reserve format.

Home matches will again be played at the Minstermen’s Wigginton Road training base with admission free of charge.

City’s bucket collection, organised by Supporters’ Trust board member Sarah Stelling, raised £604.98, meanwhile, for the Bradley Lowery Trust at last weekend’s opening-day Bootham Crescent fixture against Telford.

Six-year-old Sunderland fan Bradley touched the hearts of the nation as he battled neuroblastoma after being diagnosed with the rare form of cancer at 18 months old.

He sadly lost his fight last month after becoming best friends with England striker Jermain Defoe and winning Match of the Day's Goal of the Month competition in December.
