DEFENDER Josh Law has become the latest new arrival at York City.

Law, 27, has signed a one year deal with the Minstermen after being released by Oldham Athletic.

He is the son of former Chesterfield and Bradford City manager Nicky Law and his older brother Nicky is a current Bradford player.

Born in Nottingham, Law - who is predominantly a rightback but also plays in midfield - started his career at Chesterfield before spending nearly seven years working under his father at Alfreton Town.

Law joined Scottish Premiership club Motherwell in May 2014 and made 63 appearances over the following two seasons.

He returned to English football with Oldham last summer and made 22 appearances for the League One club.
