FORMER York City midfielder Andre Boucaud will not feature against his old club for Dagenham & Redbridge tomorrow.

The 32-year-old midfielder has started 33 games for John Still’s men this term, but is ruled out of the Essex clash as he is on international duty with Trinidad & Tobago.

Boucaud, who has now won 46 caps for his country and scored two goals, is set to play in home World Cup qualifiers against Panama tonight and Mexico on Tuesday.

The Daggers will also be without teenage, on-loan West Brom defender Shaun Donnellan due to his call-up for the Republic of Ireland under-21s’ European Championship qualifier against Kosovo.

Ex-Luton defender Curtley Williams could now replace Donellan and make his first appearance since suffering a serious knee injury in August, having returned to action in a friendly against Barnet earlier this month.

Dagenham are also close to welcoming back fellow long-term absentees – midfielder Matt Robinson (broken leg) and Luke Pennell (cruciate ligament damage) – who have been sidelined since November and July respectively.

Luke Guttridge, meanwhile, is expected to be back in contention after missing the last three games due to injury and fellow midfielder Sam Ling will be available if he can shrug off a troublesome groin problem.

But the hosts’ 19-goal, top scorer Oliver Hawkins is not a definite starter, having failed to net in his last six matches – his longest barren spell of the campaign.

The 24-year-old forward, signed from Hemel Hempstead Town last year, is believed to be suffering from fatigue.

Paul Benson - the 37-year-old veteran with 140 professional goals to his name - could make the first XI instead, whilst attacker Jordan Maguire-Drew (12) and midfielder Corey Whitley (11) also offer a threat in the third, having both hit double figures this season.

Dagenham have lost four out of their last five games, although the exception was a 2-1 home win over league leaders Forest Green.

Nevertheless, the Daggers’ record of six home defeats is the worst in the division’s top eight and a tally of 25 goals conceded in front of their own fans is the highest number in the top half of the table.

The Minstermen’s relegation-rivals Torquay, Guiseley and Maidstone have all won at Victoria Road this season and Isthmian League premier division outfit Worthing knocked Still’s men out of the FA Trophy in a first-round tie on their own soil.

Recent results have meant Dagenham are now sitting fourth and have dropped out of title contention with an eight-point gap having opened up to Forest Green.

Instead, the 2007 Conference champions are now looking over their shoulders with only a two-point buffer between themselves and a place outside of the play-off zone.

Still’s team are also without a clean sheet in ten matches.

Dagenham (probable): Justham, Sheppard, Doe, Williams, Widdowson, Guttridge, Robinson, Maguire-Drew, Whitely, Romain, Hawkins.
