YORK City defender Jack Higgins has joined National League rivals Southport on loan until the end of the season.
Higgins, 25, has made 17 appearances for the Minstermen this term, but was left out of the squad for Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat to Dagenham after serving a one-match suspension.
The former PE teacher was signed by City from Stalybridge Celtic in the summer.
