KAINE Felix has rocketed to the top of The Press Player of the Month standings for September.
The 21-year-old winger topped our Twitter poll to collect the two bonus points on offer towards the contest during each of the Minstermen’s last two fixtures – the 0-0 midweek draw at Tranmere and last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at Torquay.
Felix was also our man of the match at Torquay and second-highest rated performer against Tranmere to collect a further five points for both the Player of the Month and Year competitions.
The other points available for the Tranmere match went to The Press man of the match Jack Higgins (three) and third-highest rated performer Kyle Letheren (one).
Letheren (two points) was also recognised for his efforts at Plainmoor, along with Tyler Walton (one).
