WOKING will arrive at Bootham Crescent to face York City tomorrow still searching for their first National League clean sheet in 2016.

The Cardinals have gone 24 league fixtures since their last shutout – a 0-0 home draw with Boreham Wood on December 28.

Garry Hill’s men, who finished 12th in last season’s table, have also suffered a poor start to the new campaign, taking just one point from a possible 15.

Aside from a 2-2 draw at Solihull Moors, the Surrey strugglers have been beaten by Lincoln (3-1), Southport (2-1), Forest Green (1-0) and Dagenham & Redbridge (3-1).

Woking’s slide in form also dates back to last term with 13 out of their last 20 matches having ended in defeat.

Only Guiseley, yet to win a point in 2016/17, are keeping the Kingfield Stadium outfit off the bottom of the table and both clubs are the only sides yet to win a National League match this season.

Woking will continue to assess the fitness of skipper Ismail Yakubu, who has missed the last three fixtures due to a hamstring problem.

Former Forest Green and Lincoln striker Delano Sam-Yorke is also expected to still be sidelined by the groin problem he sustained in pre-season.

Hill lost last season’s 17-goal top scorer John Goddard to Sky Bet League One Swindon over the summer while on-loan Colchester forward Dan Holman, who netted 14 times, is now plying his trade at Cheltenham.

Woking (probable): Poke, Caprice, Saah, Jones, Gordon, Kretzschmar, Murtagh, Carter, Ralph, Penny, Edgar.
