CLOVIS Kamdjo insists that York City will be no pushovers against Bolton Wanderers this afternoon.

The Minstermen host the Trotters at Bootham Crescent - just a fortnight after losing 6-0 at home to Middlesbrough.

Summer signing Kamdjo says that result stung the York dressing room but today's game should be a different matter.

"Losing 6-0 to Middlesbrough hurt a little bit," said the Cameroon-born midfielder. "They were a Premiership team but we still wanted to do well.

"It was our first game of the season, we had just got back for pre-season training, and it was the first time we had played with each other.

"Today will be a bit different I am sure," he added. "It will be a much better performance than the Middlesbrough one. The last two games have been OK and we are starting to get to know each other more."

Since losing to Middlesbrough, York have enjoyed back-to-back 3-0 wins against Stalybridge Celtic and (behind-closed-doors) Blackburn Rovers.

Both Bolton and Middlesbrough played Championship football last season yet moved in opposite directions over the summer.

While Middlesbrough are now preparing for life in the Premier League, Bolton are now back at League One level for the first time in 23 years.

New manager Phil Parkinson, who quit Bradford City, to take the Bolton job has indicated that his first team will be on duty this afternoon.

Supporters wishing to attend today's game can pay on the turnstile. Admission costs £12 for adults and £6 concessions. The game kicks off at 1.30pm.
