YORK City's opening day contest at Maidstone United has been made an all-ticket fixture.

Ticket arrangements for the game, which will kick off at 12.15pm after being chosen for live television coverage by BT Sports, will be announced by the club next week.

Elsewhere, National League bookmakers' favourites Forest Green have signed former Wimbledon and Salisbury striker Matt Tubbs from Portsmouth and ex-Bootham Crescent favourite Jon McCarthy, who now manages Chester, has taken Walsall defender Theo Vassell on a six-month loan deal.

Aldershot have recruited Callum Reynolds and Jim Kellermann, meanwhile, from Boreham Wood and Wolves respectively, with Braintree bringing in experienced former Crawley pair Jon Ashton and Lee Barnard.

One-time Nigerian under-23 international forward Daniel Uchechi has also joined Boreham Wood from Swedish outfit BSV Hurturkel, Eastleigh have swooped for Charlton defender Ayo Obileye and Roarie Deacon has swapped Crawley for Sutton United.
