Polish goalkeeper Ed Wilczynski, 21, is on trial at York City after being released by Huddersfield Town.
Wilczynski was on Town's books for eight years and played on loan for non-league clubs including Sheffield FC, Bishop Auckland, Hyde United, Trafford FC, and FC United of Manchester.
York manager Jackie McNamara is looking to strengthen his goalkeeping options after former Northern Ireland international Michael Ingham rejected a new deal and ended his nine year association with the Minstermen.
As reported, he is also running the rule over Gaelic football goalkeeper Michael Quinn - the son of former Republic of Ireland striker Niall.
