YORK City will travel up the A59 to near-neighbours Harrogate Town during their pre-season programme.

Jackie McNamara's squad are scheduled to visit the CNG Stadium on Wednesday, July 27, with a 7.30pm kick-off.

It will be the second consecutive year in which City, now of the National League, will have visited the National League North outfit, after falling to a 2-0 defeat to Simon Weaver's side last season.

Ticket prices for the game are to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, the National League have announced that Vanarama are to continue their sponsorship of the competition on a 12-month rolling contract initially until June 2018.

Vanarama managing director Andy Alderson said: "The rebrand exercise undertaken by the National League 12 months ago has in part helped our own brand image grow in and outside our industry. We look forward to continuing to work closely with everyone connected with the league and our early decision to extend to 2018 validates how partnerships can flourish if the mix is right."

Charlie Clapham, vice chairman of the National League, said: "Since Vanarama joined with us two seasons ago our partnership, and above all else our friendship, has grown and this news was a massive boost to everyone."
