YORK City will be out to stop the country's most prolific striker when Jabo Ibehre looks to add to his ten-goal tally for Carlisle United tomorrow.

Ibehre, 32, will arrive at Bootham Crescent in the form of his life, having only once hit double figures in an entire season during 16 previous campaigns as a professional.

Even then, he only managed to score 11 times for Sky Bet League One Walsall during 2008/09.

Including other spells at Leyton Orient, MK Dons, Southend, Stockport, Colchester, Oldham and Barnsley, the well-travelled frontman has averaged just under six goals a season prior to this term.

His excellent form has been one reason behind Carlisle's league games featuring more goals than any other side in English football's top four divisions.

A total of 30 have gone in at both ends, which is four more than League One pair Bury and Colchester.

But the Cumbrians are equally as leaky at the back, as they are potent in attack.

Only bottom-of-the-table Newport can match their record of 15 goals conceded in League Two and Keith Curle's men have now gone 12 matches without a clean sheet since a 2-0 victory at Northampton in mid-March.

The Brunton Park side will also travel to North Yorkshire, aiming to rack up a fourth straight league victory for the first time since ex-City boss John Ward racked up six triumphs on the trot as he guided the club into the 2007/08 League One play-offs.

Barnet (3-2) and Dagenham & Redbridge (2-1) have been seen off in back-to-back home wins following on from a 3-2 success at Hartlepool.

But ex-Manchester City and England defender Curle has still chosen to strengthen his ranks this week with the loan recruitment of Newcastle United 19-year-old pair Macauley Gillesphey and Alex Gilliead.

Gillesphey is a left-sided defender and Gilliead a wide attacking player with both recruited on the recommendations of ex-Carlisle and Toon legend Peter Beardsley.

The visitors are not expected to change a winning team, though, despite defender David Atkinson having also returned to action following a hamstring injury during a 2-2 reserves friendly draw against Middlesbrough this week.

Carlisle (probable) Gillespie, Miller, Raynes, Grainger, McQueen, Kennedy, Joyce, Dicker, Balanta, Ibehre, Balanta.
