York City draw 1-1 at Darlington 1883
YORK CITY have drawn 1-1 at Darlington 1883 in their latest pre-season friendly.
Fielding a starting eleven which saw George Swan and Eddie Nolan make their playing returns after injury, Gary Brown gave the home side the lead in the 69th minute after he snuck in unmarked from a free-kick to head past Maichael Ingham.
But manager Russ Wilcox watched a trialist level the scores six minutes later. Lindon Meikle played a through-ball and the player finished coolly past Peter Jameson.
