Luca Brecel upset the odds once again at the williamhill.com UK Championship and, having been offered at 100-1 to win the tournament at the start of the week, his odds have been slashed to 16-1.
The young Belgian, who beat Mark King 6-4 in round two yesterday, faces Shaun Murphy in the quarter-finals today.
Murphy is 1-3 to win the match, while Brecel is 9-4.
“Brecel has undoubtedly been the star of the tournament so far and his performances in York have ensured he will never again be 100-1 to win a major tournament,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
