On cue for a double

THESE Bootham Conservative Club cue masters are celebrating a memorable snooker double.
The club have won the Slater Pairs League and the Ted Plant Trophy - the first club to claim the double in five years. It is also their fourth Ted Plant success on the trot.
Captain Don Nixon said: "I am absolutely delighted that we won both trophies in my last season as captain."
The trophy-winning squad members are: Don Nixon, Jamie Robinson, Wayne Glaisier, Peter Richardson, Simon Robinson, Ken Clifford, Ian Gray, Matt Dawson, Norman Shipley, Peter Materson, Peter Henderson, Colin Sanderson, Ken Carling, Brendon Ledgeway, John Sykes.
