Pocklington RUFC sign off in President’s tie

POCKLINGTON RUFC bring down the curtain on their superb season when they play the annual President’s XV game at Percy Road tomorrow (kick off 2pm).

After clinching the Yorkshire One championship, tomorrow’s game will give the players and supporters a last chance to celebrate before attention turns to preparing for next season in North One East.

While the pressure is off after a hard-fought league campaign, Pocklington will be looking to an entertaining encounter against an invitation President’s XV featuring a mix of youth and experience.

Many of the President’s players have performed at a higher level but have connections to Pocklington.

Pocklington under-13s will also be aiming to finish their season with a bang as they travel to Arras in northern France to compete through the weekend in the French International Festival of Rugby.
