Baildon blow for beaten York RI RUFC

YORK RI RUFC turned in a much-improved performance but still went down 23-13 at Baildon in Yorkshire Three.
RI, who have now lost 11 of their 18 games, only managed a Baptiste Briu penalty in reply to the hosts’ 15 points in the first half.
RI were much the better side after the break and Tim Lewis scored a slick try, with Briu adding the extras.
Baildon then kicked a penalty, which was matched by one from Briu.
A Baildon try three minutes from time denied RI a bonus point.
Ben Hardon had a good debut for RI, while Frazer Land and Briu shared the man of the match honours.
