POCKLINGTON RUFC bring the curtain down on their season in style as players from across the North converge on Percy Road for a day of first team, ladies and junior action.
The annual Pocklington 1st XV v President’s XV game, which brings together a host of top players and old friends of the club, kicks off at 2.30pm, and it is preceded by both Pock Ladies fifth annual tag rugby festival from 10am, and by a mini-rugby game as Pock’s successful under-12s side play touring opposition at noon.
The President’s XV game is Pock’s traditional finale to the season, and the President’s side will again bring a mixture of young talent, star players and familiar faces.
Hull Ionians player-coach and former Harlequins lock Mick Watson will again lead the President’s side, and in addition to a number of players who perform at higher levels, he has included a number of blasts from Pock’s past, including former front-row skippers Mark Floyd and Darren Smith and ex-coach and Welsh international Gary Pearce.
