YORK RUFC are looking for players to join the club's new women's team.
The first taster session is being held on Monday July 17 at 7.30pm at Clifton Park.
A number of players have already agreed to sign up after representing the University Of York last season.
The club also has a girls section (Under-17s) and hopes players will progress from there to the senior team.
A spokesman said: "This exciting opportunity is open to women aged 17 and over and players of all abilities are encouraged to come down and try rugby union. Women's rugby is a fast growing and empowering sport that is hugely inclusive, diverse and develops a wide range of different skillsets."
