DAN COATES is stepping down after five years in the role of York RI RUFC coach.
Coates, whose decision was influenced by his work commitments, was presented with an award for his services at the club's end of season dinner at New Lane.
His side finished seventh out of 11 in this season's Yorkshire Four.
Other awards on presented on the night went to Francky Rossi (Player of the Year), Andy McCarthy (Clubman of the Year), and Chris Jones (Most Promising Young Player).
The club will be holding an Annual General Meeting on Thursday May 11, 7.30pm, in the clubhouse at New Lane.
All members of the rugby section are invited to attend along with parents of youth members.
Spokesman William Moore says the meeting will be an opportunity for members to have a say in the running and development of the club. They are also seeking volunteers to take on roles within the club.
