CONTRASTING records will come into focus when Pocklington head north tomorrow looking to improve an away record which could scupper their promotion hopes.

Pock, currently the leading Yorkshire side in North One East, are fourth from top but have won only once on the road.

Hosts Durham City, conversely, are currently third from bottom but have lost just once at home.

Traditionally one of the North's top clubs, the Hollow Drift outfit were relegated from North One East in 2013 but bounced back as the Durham & Northumberland champions last season, winning 25 of their 26 games.

Pocklington need to give fitness checks to a couple of players after last Saturday's exertions - an impressive win over Penrith - but they also have a couple of backs nearing a return and include Pete Massie and Josh Britton in their 23-man squad.

Malton & Norton's run of three straight wins was ended in agonising fashion last week as Bradford & Bingley notched a match-winning try in stoppage time.

They like Pocklington travel north tomorrow to take on Percy Park in North Shields, who like themselves have three wins from seven league outings.
