YORK RI Ladies hammered Acklam Avengers 92-0 to make it three wins from three in Women's North Two East.

RI, showing great teamwork, dominated all over the pitch from the off, captain Shannon Little leading the way with five tries.

With territory quickly gained, the back line exploited an overlap and centre Gemma Webster went over for the first try.

Two more followed quickly, winger Lucy Peet tearing in up the wing and full-back Kesh Demoreas evading two tackles to get over.

Even when RI knocked on, they turned Acklam's scrum over thanks to Kat Reed's hooking, with fly-half Bex Homer twice benefiting to storm over the line, either side of Peet's second try.

Little also crossed just before half-time for a 39-0 interval lead.

The second half was much like the first.

Pressure at the ruck saw second-row Fiona Parr turn the ball over and pop it off to flanker Charlie Freeman. She was tackled just short but Little took the pop pass to score.

Demoreas immediately got her second, before Little and Homer both out-ran the defence to complete hat-tricks.

Replacement flanker Charlotte Warriner's run through the middle set up a try for second-row Fiona Parr, before Little grabbed two more tries.

With Acklam's defence now done in, Freeman exploited gaps to notch two more tries, the second set up by Fiona Parr's dummy and pass.

Conversions were added by Gemma Webster (2) and Kirsty Parr (4).
