A DUAL code international stands in the way of York RUFC snapping a four game losing streak tomorrow.

The Clifton Parkers travel to high-flying Hullensians in Yorkshire One in need of a victory after slipping to tenth in the table. But they will get no easy pickings from their trip to Hull.

York's opponents are third in the table with seven wins from their ten games and, among their improving number, they boast the services of John Steel - the former Hull KR, Featherstone and Northampton Saints player who was capped for Scotland in both rugby league and union.

Head coach Lee Denham is still having selection issues - again having to make changes with Marcus Britland and Ben Johnson among those coming into the side - and he says his team have to take it one game at a time.

"We could really do with a win," he explained. "One of the issues we are having is that we are just not able to put out a settled side. We have used something like 37 players already this season. We can turn things around.

"We have got really good players who, when they get used to the new systems properly and buy into what we are putting in place, will see a different game."

Of Hullensians, Denham added: "They are having a great season. They have brought some great buys in and are a lot different to last season. They have brought in a few talented players and have got John Steel who, in any realms of imagination, is a finisher.

"He was playing in National One and Two up to last season and has been capped at international level at rugby union and rugby league. I am sure they will play around him. They have got a good pack and they are well coached. They are going to be a hard side to play."

"We have a very similar pack but we have made a change at number eight and Marcus Britland is back in," Denham continued when asked about selection. "We are trying to put a bit more pressure on in the back row. Ben Johnson comes in at scrum-half. There are no easy games in Yorkshire One and we are taking it one game at a time."

Pocklington welcome West Hartlepool to Percy Road in North One East.

It's a special game for Pocklington head coach Mick Watson, who began his professional career in the Premiership with West Hartlepool before moving on to Harlequins.

West Hartlepool subsequently tumbled down the leagues, but are now turning things around having just opened a new clubhouse and they sit third in the table to Pocklington's eighth.

Pocklington will leave it late to finalise selection, but Archie Fothergill (concussion) and Johnny Wood (foot) are still missing.

Elsewhere, Malton & Norton continue their pursuit of leaders Bradford & Bingley when they host Yarnbury in Yorkshire One, while Selby will bid for their second win this season when they entertain West Park Leeds.

In Yorkshire Four, York RI travel to Sheffield Oaks.
