YORK RI RUFC turned in their best display of the season when beating Yorkshire Four high-fliers Skipton.
The game was scoreless for the first 20 minutes before Tom Greaves outpaced everyone to score in the corner. Baptiste Briu added the conversion.
On 35 minutes Dan Coates crashed over for a well- taken try which Briu goaled.
A lapse saw the visitors score under the posts to trail 14-7. But Briu added a late penalty for a 17-7 half-time lead.
Ten minutes into the second half Briu kicked another penalty, before man of the match Greaves jinked his way past three defenders to cross.
Skipper Frazer Land powered his way through three Skipton players to score with a Briu’s conversion yielding a bonus point.
Another penalty sent over by the unflappable Briu confirmed an eminently satisfying 35-19 conquest.
