Rowntrees RUFC beaten 17-13 in pre-season friendly
ROWNTREES RUFC were narrowly beaten 17-13 in a pre-season game at Thornensian 2nds.
Trees got off to a flying start with a penalty by Jack Gabbatiss, but were unable to add more points in the first half. Despite dominating play, two mistakes cost them ten points.
A lucky break gave the hosts a converted try before Trees crossed for two unconverted tries by John Thomson and Ben Morrison.
