Heworth ARLC tie up foes in knots

Heworth ARLC Under-17s beat visitors Knottingley 36-14 in their opening fixture of 2012.
The away side took the lead with a try after only two minutes, but Heworth responded with a 12th minute touch down by Jack Rowson, pictured above, who darted over from close range.
Alex Clough and Josh Poulter followed up with a try apiece before Knottingley pulled back to within six points of the Villagers.
Winger Fraser West scored two tries – either side of the half-time interval – and David Hayes rounded off a slick Heworth move.
Harry Deighton kicked four conversions.
The Villagers’ man of the match was Michael Hinds.
